Pavan Group

Founded in 1946, PAVAN has grown to reach its present organization thanks to the merger of leading companies supplying food equipments to the food industry: Pavan, Mapimpianti, Toresani-Foodmac, Stiavelli, Nuova Dizma, Montoni Trafile.
The turnover of PAVAN Group – 450 employees - in year 2007 amounted to roughly 91 million Euro, 95% of which was exports sales: these figures confirm the growth of the company and the importance of synergies which have consolidated a leading position in the world market.
The UNI EN ISO 9001 Certificate, granted by Det Norske Veritas in 1997 to PAVAN Quality System, is the official acknowledgement of high standard assured by Pavan in its activities management. In October 2003 Pavan was certificated also under the new UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 set of rules, extending the certification to new product lines. In accordance with the VISION 2000 principles, the management of processes has been revised to further focus the well-established company orientation toward customers’ satisfaction and fidelity.

Five brands identify the equipments engineered and built by the group: PAVAN for long-cut, short-cut, nest shaped dry pasta and cous cous; MAPIMPIANTI for snacks, breakfast cereals, precooked pasta and precooked flours; TORESANI FOODMAC for filled, flat, extruded fresh pasta, ready meals, gnocchi; MONTONI for the production of dies for food equipments, die washing machines, automatic pasta cutting systems; STIAVELLI for packaging systems for the food industry; NUOVA DIZMA for flow-pack packaging systems for pasta, confectionery, baked products and other goods.

PAVAN has branch offices in the U.S.A. and Russia and covers the worldwide network through its agents. In the food process sector it is also head of Veneta Alimenti Innovativi (located in Pieve d’Alpago) manufacturing innovative products such as snacks, precooked pasta and breakfast cereals.

PAVAN market strategy is to provide a global service, from the research and development of new products to the engineering and manufacturing of plants till the after-sale services.
Pavan equipment is customized based on clients’ requirements thanks to the use of high quality manufacturing processes. Engineering and production activities – involving over 90 people - are integrated by means of the latest generation CAD - CAM systems.

In the near future it’s expected that a large part of foods we eat today will be substituted by new products which will be more in line with demographic, income and lifestyle changes of consumers. In this scenario, PAVAN cooperates as partner with its clients to support the development of new products, innovative technologies and plants. For this reason up to 60 people are involved in the research activities of which 20 work in its Research & Development Center.

At Pavan Headquarters there’s also a laboratory registered in the Accredited Laboratories list of M.I.U.R. (the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Scientific Research); moreover, four industrial processing lines and four pilot plant lines are used for testing.
The Pavan School of Food Technologies uses these facilities also for the top level training courses and to develop projects in cooperation with many Universities in Italy and abroad and with public institutions such as Italian Institute of Nutrition, Ministry of University and Scientific Research; FAO, UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization)
